Plot[]

History[]

Years before the start of Blade of the Immortal Kurehiro was washed up at shore in Japan after he went overboard on his ship. Kurehiro considered himself lucky when he saw Tarieshin Hasshu because Hasshu went to officials for help when he washed up, and got screwed over, where Kurehiro washed up in the deepest province of Japan, away from the eyes of the Shogunate.

Introduction[]

Kurehiro was introduced along with the new recruits of the Itto-ryu under the burnt down Dojo. Kurehiro's original Sword school was the Nagajo-ryu along with Kunimitsu Amon.

Rokki-dan[]

When the Rokki-dan invaded the Itto-ryu dojo, Kurehiro was one of the archers that took down the remaining Hebigumi, and later ran away with the rest.

Leaving Edo[]

When the Itto-ryu is banned from Edo, Kurehiro and the others begin their journey to Hitachi. Along the way after Koji Kashin is killed, the Itto-ryu stay at a shack to rest, but are confronted by Shishiya Arashino, Tarieshin Hasshu, and Shozo Murasaki who cut off the head of Yatsushiba. Sosuke planned to take them all on by himself, but all of the Itto-ryu quit. Yatoin Ariusu, andKoda pin Sosuke down, and bring him to safety, while Kurehiro and the rest of the itto-ryu face the Rokki-dan. Kurehiro, along with Katsumata face off against Tarieshin Hasshu, who is also German. Katsumata watches as Kurehiro fights, and notes that he is much stronger than he looked while in the Dojo training. Kurehiro fights valiantly against Tarieshin, dodging some of his attacks, even after being knocked down. In the end Kurehiro takes a blow to the side from Tarieshin's spear, and Tarieshin tells Kurehiro his backstory. Later Kurehiro is decapitated by Tarieshin as Katsumata watches.

Weapons and abilities[]

Weapons[]

Kurehiro uses a standard Katana, and on occasion a bow, just like every other one of the new recruits.

Abilities[]

Even though Kurehiro is not included as one of the three strongest of the new recruits, Katsumata notes that he was holding back when in the Dojo, and when he fought Tarieshin, he displayed skills better than any of the other new Itto-ryu
