Shozo Murasaki (叢咲 正造 Murasaki Shōzō?) A short member of the Rokki-dan who wears a hood.
Plot[]
Introduction of the Rokki-dan[]
Shozo is introduced with all of the other Rokki-dan members during a meeting between the group.
Hunt for the Itto-ryu[]
Murasaki is given the task of finding Sosuke Abayama, of the Itto-ryu's whereabouts. Shozo takes in Sosuke's son, and tortures him in order to find Sosuke himself, but is told that they didn't even know Sosuke was a member of the Itto-ryu until now. Other Relatives came to the Rokki-dan worried about him, but they were tortured as well. In the end the Son confessed that every now and then he met with Sosuke in the city, and that he lived at his former Itto-ryu Dojo even though it was burnt down.
Leaving Edo[]
Whe the Itto-ryu is banned from Edo, Shozo and the rest of the Rokki-dan begins to follow. Along the way, the Itto-ryu stays at a shack for the night, and Shozo, along with Shishiya Arashino, and Tarieshin Hasshu are assigned to convince them that their leader, Anotsu Kagehisa has been killed. On the way Shishiya decapitates Yatsushiba, and they bring his head to the other Itto-ryu members. Sosuke calls the Rokki-dans bluff, in that Anotsu is still alive, but has just been delayed, and he decides to fight three on one against the Rokki-dan. All of the other Itto-ryu members quit, and tie Sosuke up, and the three strongest take him away to safety, while the others prepare to face the Rokki-dan. Shozo faces up against Kunimitsu Amon, who he constantly refers to as a "Sumo Samurai", and when Amon begins to wonder how Shozo can hit him from ten meters away with a normal sized lance, Shozo explains that his blade has a deposit of acid inside which he can fling up to ten meters. Amon rushes in towards him so Shozo cannot use his blade, but Murasaki pulls out another device that incorporates acid, and uses it on Amon's chest, landing him on his knees. With Amon's remaining strength he gets back up, and grabs Shozo, but Shozo corrodes Amon's arm, and the Amon knees Murasaki straight in the face. When Shozo tries to use his acid device again, He and Amon both take the blast, and are immediately killed.

Shozo uses a lance filled with poison that can reach up to ten meters, but for short range, he is equipped with a small device that shoots out extremely concentrated Acid, capeable of corroding the length of a large man's wrist in just seconds.
Abilities[]
Shozo is shown to be a fairly weak man that mostly relies on his weapons, as he was defeaten by little more than a knee to the face. Physically he is most likely the weakest of the Hangagumi, but including his abilities he could be put above Ryo Soma, and possibly Haiyabou.
